• Why Screen Printing? Puerto Rican artists have a long history of using posters to communicate, express and amplify the voice of the people. With this piece, we recognize the cultural and artistic legacy left by those artists whose works today serve as historical references of past centuries and the present.
• Detailed Description: Whether it's Ramón Frade's “Our Daily Bread” or Francisco Oller's plantains in Still Life, this fruit has been very present in Puerto Rican art. We regularly talk about the “banana stain” as a symbol of belonging. Here the cluster contains verbs for strategies for staying in Puerto Rico.
